Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Felix Montenegro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edgar Grep. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Bergfeldt in the 10th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Grep. Edgar Grep dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Älta BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Älta BK's Edgar Grep did a great save. 23 minutes into the match, Älta BK's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Edgar Grep reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play forced Älta BK's goalkeeper Edgar Grep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Grep showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Älta BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edgar Grep in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Edgar Grep didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Saelices went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play forced Älta BK's goalkeeper Edgar Grep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Edgar Grep made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Grep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Älta BK's Nils-Emil Engman was substituted for Lars-Erik Brogren. Älta BK's Joel Danielsson was substituted for Anders Löv. Älta BK's Edgar Grep proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Älta BK from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgar Grep came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 60th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Älta BK's goalkeeper Edgar Grep had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Älta BK's Edgar Grep played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Älta BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Edgar Grep despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Edgar Grep stood somewhat misplaced when Agustín Saelices came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 69 minute. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgar Grep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Edgar Grep in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Edgar Grep made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edgar Grep, 0-6. If Nils-Emil Engman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgar Grep made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute. When Agustín Saelices fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Agustín Saelices a yellow card for diving instead. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Ecuador played a much better game than Älta BK and deserved their victory. The Älta BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
