Jamaica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Remigio Jerano scored to the left of an out of position Demonde Jacobson, making the score, 3-0. Javier Fero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romon Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The supporters of Jamaica booed when Academia Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Mark didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored Academia Club's protests and gave Leon Ponce a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Jarell Hill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Academia Club's Javier Fero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Club from getting a goal against them. When Bonifacio Mark fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Club's protests and gave Bonifacio Mark a yellow card for diving instead. Remigio Jerano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Jerano in the 96th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Academia Club fully deserved thier win.
