Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joe Herring started the match with the kick off. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring. But to his dismay, Joe Herring quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerry Lodge was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Jerry Lodge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Herring in the 24th minute of play. Jerry Lodge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Jerry Lodge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Joe Herring came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Valencia C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joe Herring couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the match, Joe Herring notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joe Herring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Harding didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerry Lodge made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Herring in the 63rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Farré in the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Guillermo Farré was slow to take the kick. During this time Valencia C.F.'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Guillermo Farré got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Joe Herring recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon was substituted for Joe Herring. Valencia C.F.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Jerry Lodge, making the score, 3-1. 92 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Jerry Lodge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita.
