Panait Hațegan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Emilian Blăniță fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ricardo Zorita, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Luis Rubio hit a great ball. Daniel Anton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. The El Salvador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Zorita should have stopped the shot. 69 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Anton came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Anton scored 3-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute, Daniel Anton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tineretul Arad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After 76 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. The supporters of Tineretul Arad booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Fernandino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abram Luque charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
