Benito Sanz was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Songurbey Tuncal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Songurbey Tuncal really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Songurbey Tuncal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 3-0 in the 11 minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Ferrant's late challenge caught a JiOmaro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mirkelam Özdoğru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Alcocer in the 32nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Songurbey Tuncal got free with Benito Sanz in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 40 minutes, Songurbey Tuncal made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 43 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. In the 44th minute, Songurbey Tuncal made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. If Songurbey Tuncal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 56 minutes of play, JiOmaro's Songurbey Tuncal made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 63 minutes, Songurbey Tuncal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JiOmaro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Songurbey Tuncal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Songurbey Tuncal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Songurbey Tuncal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. JiOmaro's Levent Kandemir was substituted for Egemen Özpulat. 73 minutes into the game, JiOmaro's Mourits Nelander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. Lautaro Puig's late challenge caught a JiOmaro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Mourits Nelander ran back to his position shaking his head. If Mourits Nelander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mourits Nelander in the 79th minute of play. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mourits Nelander went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 14-0 was the resulting score. 85 minutes into the match, JiOmaro's Mourits Nelander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the match JiOmaro got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ali Nabi Demirtaş ran over to the corner to take the kick. Çelebi Sarpkan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Mourits Nelander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çelebi Sarpkan in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Mourits Nelander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 15-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 95 minutes into the match, Mourits Nelander notched a goal, 16-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
