After 39 played minutes Valette Stars got a freekick which was hit by Mathys Chassot. In the 42nd match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Lacasa to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Garrido during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chile's Felix Garrido got a free kick in the 45th minute. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Rafail Rusev sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Chile were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillaume Chaine in the 58th minute of the match. Adrien Tanneau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 61st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Guillermo Fontirroig could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Adrien Tanneau however easily saved by the left post. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafail Rusev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Adrien Tanneau in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the game, Felix Garrido threw the ball into play from the sideline. Valette Stars's Mathys Chassot quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Adrien Tanneau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 85th minute.
