Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, SC Braga's Charl De Metser got a free kick in the 4th minute. Antonio Adán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute Quintino Carvalhais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Braga's Antonio Adán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Lautaro Mancebo made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that SC Braga's Antonio Adán managed to reach the ball for a save. Antonio Adán stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 35th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Adán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 39th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quintino Carvalhais in the 40th minute of play. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 45th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Antonio Adán came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Rouco. But to his dismay, Luca Rouco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The SC Braga players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Antonio Adán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Jordão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SC Braga's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Adán came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Braga made a substitution. Geraldo Lucas replaced André Jordão. If Geraldo Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SC Braga's Antonio Adán proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save SC Braga from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Cieri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Gaona got free with Antonio Adán in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 83rd minute of the match.
