Alan Campos's late challenge caught a Modlau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Campos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Alan Campos hit a great ball. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Barry McCray tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Claudio Fioravanti took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jacobo Nores to make any attempt to save it. Claudio Fioravanti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Jacobo Nores skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Claudio Fioravanti in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacobo Nores, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Modlau booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Pardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Modlau getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jarmo Laik hit a great ball. Barry McCrays short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Jacobo Nores to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 29 minutes into the game, Claudio Fioravanti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jacobo Nores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 33 played minutes Modlau got a freekick which was hit by Wincenty Mochowak. Modlau's Claudio Fioravanti was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Claudio Fioravanti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Claudio Fioravanti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jarmo Laik struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Modlau. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pardo to make the kick off. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Fioravanti in the 54th minute of play. Modlau's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Barry McCray in the 55th minute. After 58 minutes, Claudio Fioravanti made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute Claudio Fioravanti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Barry McCray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Modlau's Damazy Jucha was substituted for Jarmo Laik. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Fioravanti in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wincenty Mochowak hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The Modlau fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Modlau's Claudio Fioravanti looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Claudio Fioravanti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Claudio Fioravanti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Alan Campos. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Modlau's Claudio Fioravanti. But to his dismay, Claudio Fioravanti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry McCray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Damazy Jucha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Damazy Jucha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Fioravanti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Claudio Fioravanti notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
