Bruno Barrett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damian Haszczak showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 11 minute of play. Arnoud Ooms could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. 23 minutes into the game, Damian Haszczak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stasio Sitko got free with Bruno Barrett in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Curacao defense, Arnoud Ooms kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot.
