Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Intxixu Porregimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Intxixu Porregimon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Anaia Barba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexilhão F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Anaia Barba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Germano Pernambucano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 15th minute Mexilhão F. C. were awarded a corner. Anaia Barba went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Anaia Barba almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Romero in the 20th minute of play. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Germano Pernambucano. Serafino Herena kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Intxixu Porregimon skillfully saved the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Intxixu Porregimon having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Pernambucano in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 58th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. Anaia Barba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Daniel Zorita in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Intxixu Porregimon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Intxixu Porregimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anaia Barba struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexilhão F. C.. Intxixu Porregimon didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 80th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. 86 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Intxixu Porregimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 minutes Mexilhão F. Despite this Intxixu Porregimon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 87thth minute of the game Felix Montes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Mexilhão F. C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Intxixu Porregimon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Mexilhão F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Intxixu Porregimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Germano Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Lara came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexilhão F. C. succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
