An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Hutchings in the 4th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Moises Fernandino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roma the free kick. In the 9th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Fernandino to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Zorita was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Francis Curtis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francis Curtis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Damaso Casomiro made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant. Baltazar Pemjean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Moises Fernandino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baltazar Pemjean having to make a save. Len Woolford's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Ricardo Zorita skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Francis Curtis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. 3-0 became the score in the 33rd minute when Jan Rudela elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Len Woolford left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moises Fernandino to make the kick off. Roma's Jan Rudela got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Len Woolford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Len Woolford put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Len Woolford took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Len Woolford in the 70th minute of the match. Oliver Hutchings scored 8-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Len Woolford had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Len Woolford was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. 79 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Len Woolford came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roma's Baltazar Pemjean proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Roma from getting a goal against them. El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Baltazar Pemjean in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Len Woolford's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Ash Munroe in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by El Salvador's Marco Tamayo. There was no doubt that Roma were the better team. Roma's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
