Hristiyan Tzukev made in the 10th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Zlatko Stumbov immediately put the ball in play. In the 17th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Knights Templar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hristiyan Tzukev hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Knights Templar's Bozhin Palakarchev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. In the 42nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bozhin Palakarchev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rungrueng Rau got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute, Rungrueng Rau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knights Templar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sava Dodov made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zlatko Stumbov in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Sava Dodov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 60 minutes into the match, Knights Templar's goalkeeper Bozhin Palakarchev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. After having played for 65 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sava Dodov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sava Dodov in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Zlatko Stumbov came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
