In the 7th minute Felipe Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nacho González prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yuliy Esikov came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lautaro Navarro could save by the left post. In the 16th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felipe Custódio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Lautaro Navarro 18 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro was a little too slow when Felipe Custódio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-0. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC NOSTA's goalie prevented a goal. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when FC NOSTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gennadiy Lihventsov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC NOSTA. In the last second Lautaro Navarro throw himself and got hold of the ball when Felipe Custódio in the 39thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 41 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Custódio. Nacho González made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 42nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Melchor Lopez took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Lautaro Navarro to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 62nd minute of play forced FC NOSTA's goalkeeper Nacho González to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yuliy Esikov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. With his leg Nacho González managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
