Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Youri Djorkaeff got the match started through his kick off. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Youri Djorkaeff got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 10th minute Youri Djorkaeff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Youri Djorkaeff's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Avel Vat's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Youri Djorkaeff in the 12th minute. The corner led Avel Vat's Ilan Champion to a score. 2-0 in the 12th minute. Youri Djorkaeff who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lautaro Puig's late challenge caught a Avel Vat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lautaro Puig helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Avel Vat got a freekick which was hit by Youri Djorkaeff. In the 30th minute, Avel Vat's Lilian Thuram ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. A collision led to Avel Vat getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Bilal Moutte hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the game, Youri Djorkaeff cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Youri Djorkaeff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Youri Djorkaeff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 56 minutes of play, Avel Vat's Youri Djorkaeff made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Axel Tasis charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Tasis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Tasis to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Alcocer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Danny Pasquier came out and tried to block the shot, but Aaron Alcocer slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 65th minute. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Avel Vat booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Edmond Kubiak took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. The supporters of Avel Vat booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmond Kubiak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. There was no doubt that Avel Vat were the better team. Avel Vat's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
