Lasse Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 44th minute of the match. After 47 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Hagmoren BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute, Conny Ronaldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conny Ronaldo in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Lasse Eriksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. The audience was convinced that Conny Ronaldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 64th minute of the game.
