The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Eriksson having to interfere. Hagmoren BK's Lasse Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 4th minute of play. Isidoro Sarmiento charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Sarmiento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hagmoren BK made a substitution. Cumhur Atasan replaced Tommy Abrahamsson. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great ball. A collision led to Hagmoren BK getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Åke Rosendahl hit a great ball. Lasse Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 13th minute of the match. Conny Ronaldo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Cotilla came out and tried to block the shot, but Conny Ronaldo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lasse Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 30th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Mikael Hellström put in a rough tackle. In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for Panama. Abraham Alguacil stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lasse Eriksson. 1-1. In the 35thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hagmoren BK's Lasse Eriksson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Conny Ronaldo struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hagmoren BK. The supporters of Hagmoren BK booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conny Ronaldo. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Hagmoren BK's Lasse Eriksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save Hagmoren BK from getting a goal against them. Abraham Alguacil came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lasse Eriksson could save by the left post. In the 60th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Lasse Eriksson. Hagmoren BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Isidoro Sarmiento hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 64th minute. Åke Rosendahl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Lasse Eriksson was a little too slow when Tomas Berganza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 1-3. In the 79th minute of the match, Tomas Berganza tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lasse Eriksson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Ronaldo in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Yoakim Nakov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yoakim Nakov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lasse Eriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Panama eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
