Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Bochinski in the 29th minute of play. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. 91 minutes into the match, Cezary Makomaski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cezary Makomaski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-4. The supporters of Chivos de Punto Fijo booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezary Makomaski, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Chivos de Punto Fijo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
