Mariano Flores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Flores. BIAMAR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Hildeberto Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. BIAMAR's Mariano Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 19th minute of play. Juan Sebastián Puig made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that BIAMAR's Mariano Flores managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Mariano Flores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a defensive mix-up in BIAMAR's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Flores came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to BIAMAR getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Carlos Pimentel hit a great ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Mariano Flores. BIAMAR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márcio Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 44 played minutes BIAMAR got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Pimentel.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Márcio Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mariano Flores, 0-4. In the 56th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mariano Flores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. BIAMAR's Juliano Santos was substituted for Rui Monteiro. BIAMAR made a substitution. Vasco Castilho replaced Pedro Freire. Cristian Sancho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 63rd playminute. 68 minutes into the match, BIAMAR's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Mariano Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Flores having to interfere. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Flores having to interfere. Mariano Flores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute. Mariano Flores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mariano Flores could save by the left post. With a little luck, BIAMAR's Mariano Flores got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the BIAMAR defense, Felix Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Flores. The BIAMAR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Flores should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Ecuador booed when BIAMAR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, BIAMAR's goalkeeper Mariano Flores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 95 minutes, Israel Faria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BIAMAR and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Israel Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BIAMAR throughout the match.
