With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, Marciano Nevada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marciano Nevada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Marciano Nevada tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Jonathan Venegas put in a rough tackle. In the 19th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. Marciano Nevada placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 26 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Nevada came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The long shot by Jens-Ove Blomberg in the 28th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tord Fastesson. Joshua Secada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marciano Nevada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Esbjörn Markusson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 41st minute, Joshua Secada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Costa to make the kick off. Kalle Backman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joshua Secada in the 52nd minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Nevada in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 59th minute. Tord Fastesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Augusto Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Norberg in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Koffe Boys getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jens-Ove Blomberg hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Marciano Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Augusto Toledo in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, João Augusto Toledo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Jens-Ove Blomberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Nevada came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Nevada in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of Koffe Boys booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Koffe Boys had won, even though Venezuela had held more of the ball.
