Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dino Zoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dino Zoff. Dino Zoff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, Cormoranii -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Dino Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Saelices in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dino Zoff saved Cormoranii -MM- from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Agustín Saelices put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dino Zoff. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Paul came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dino Zoff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 36 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dino Zoff was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ramiro Paul's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Cormoranii -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Paul to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Cormoranii -MM-'s Dino Zoff got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isac Covataru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Paul, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Marcel Vulpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Marcel Vulpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Sântimbrean in the 73rd minute of the match. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Dino Zoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cormoranii -MM-'s Dino Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 87th minute of play. In the 87th play minute Agustín Saelices came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dino Zoff. 1-4. When Agustín Saelices fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Agustín Saelices a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
