Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Guido Vissenaeken kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Hugo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. When Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. The Brugge United fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Benito Sanz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Guido Vissenaeken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brugge United's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Vissenaeken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guido Vissenaeken who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Vissenaeken in the 29th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brugge United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guido Vissenaeken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guido Vissenaeken took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. 47 minutes into the game, Guido Vissenaeken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brugge United made a substitution. Arnauld Van Impe replaced Guido Vissenaeken. Brugge United's Waud Huijbrechts was substituted for Jaspar Van Den Broeck.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnauld Van Impe to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Arnauld Van Impe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 57th minute, Arnauld Van Impe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnauld Van Impe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnauld Van Impe in the 59th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Ümit Karan heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe. But to his dismay, Arnauld Van Impe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. In the 69th minute Arnauld Van Impe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brugge United the free kick. In the 74th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Arnauld Van Impe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. Arnauld Van Impe took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. Arnauld Van Impe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 91 minutes, Lautaro Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Brugge United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Brugge United booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dacian Hrean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Arnauld Van Impe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 15-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
