Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alberigo Di Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Alexander Bottone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play forced A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Alvaro Rotili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes A.S. Udinese's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of A.S. Udinese's goalie and right to Agustín Saelices. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. A.S. Udinese's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Alvaro Rotili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Rotili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Rotili saved A.S. Udinese from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Alvaro Rotili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Paolucci got free with Julio Vera in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play forced A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Alvaro Rotili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Rotili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. After 34 minutes, Cristian Sancho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the A.S. Udinese players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Bottone in the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Alexander Bottone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Alexander Bottone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Alexander Bottone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexander Bottone was the one to do the kick off. Alvaro Rotili was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 55 minute of play. A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Bruno Maranzano replaced Alexander Damiani. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvaro Rotili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 64th minute of play. Luis Andino scored 0-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvaro Rotili, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. The supporters of A.S. Udinese booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Alessio Zoccali ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. When Alberigo Di Franco came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the A.S. Udinese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberigo Di Franco couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Zoccali in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of A.S. Udinese booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 played minutes, A.S. Udinese's Cristiano Paolucci shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.S. Udinese reached it. In the 93rd minute, Fabiano Di Fabio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
