Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute, Jan Pietras had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Rigoberto Mina's late challenge caught a Cosmos 1984 NewDance's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Mina helped the player get up and apologised. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Wiktor Dzierwa was substituted for Jan Pietras. In the 7th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. In the 11th minute, Cosmos 1984 NewDance got a penalty, and Lucjan Mikulski placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Lucjan Mikulski got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goalkeeper Andrzej Köpke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bogumil Puch during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bogumil Puch hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Wiktor Dzierwa got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th match minute, Cosmos 1984 NewDance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Jaraczeski to maneuver through the defense. During the 28th minute of the match Bogumil Puch completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bogumil Puch a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 29th minute, Bogumil Puch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Andrzej Köpke. Andrzej Köpke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 35th minute of the match. Roch Tyszka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrzej Köpke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrzej Köpke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 43 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Andrzej Köpke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrzej Köpke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikolaj Hodyl in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Cosmos 1984 NewDance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roch Tyszka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Andrzej Köpke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goalkeeper Andrzej Köpke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrzej Köpke having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 94th minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Andrzej Köpke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
