Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Axel Tasis made the kick off which started today's match. Jerônimo Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iván Zamorano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 30 minute of play. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanimir Dragnev having to interfere. Iván Zamorano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ninjas in Pyjamas defense, Eliseo Noboa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanimir Dragnev. The Ninjas in Pyjamas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanimir Dragnev should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After 50 played minutes Ninjas in Pyjamas got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Tjernström. With an all-out effort, Costa Rica's Stanimir Dragnev threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Axel Tasis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Aurelian Zogreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 65 minutes of play Ninjas in Pyjamas's Aurelian Zogreanu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Klemensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Florin Griguță got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute, Eliseo Noboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Ninjas in Pyjamas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Griguță didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th match minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Tjernström to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Ninjas in Pyjamas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
