Ruben Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Macos Graciani got a free kick in the 10th minute. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruben Montez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th minute, Mark Åberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruben Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Macos Graciani kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 31 minutes in the game Macos Graciani did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Lorenzo Cazalla. After 33 minutes Hala Madrid Iraki FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Montez having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Ruben Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 45th minute of play. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Ruben Montez did a great save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ruben Montez made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but Hala Madrid Iraki FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
