Pedro Donatello started the match with the kick off. Laércio Loureiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Camilo Freixa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Laércio Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Camilo Freixa made a huge save. Laércio Loureiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camilo Freixa having to make a save. The supporters of Inter de São Paulo booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio Loureiro couldn't finish the play. If Laércio Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Camilo Freixa made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Laércio Loureiro sent off a good shot on target. Laércio Loureiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Freixa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laércio Loureiro ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Bolivia's Julio Chicote got a free kick in the 28th minute. Laércio Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 29 minutes into the match, Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Loureiro came free, but Camilo Freixa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inter de São Paulo were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Bolivia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Laércio Loureiro notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Bolivia's Camilo Freixa. Camilo Freixa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Inter de São Paulo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. After 77 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Miralles. Laércio Loureiro scored 7-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camilo Freixa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the game, Pedro Donatello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Camilo Freixa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd match minute, Inter de São Paulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bolivia booed when Inter de São Paulo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball.
