The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nicu Vornicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willi Wolters having to make a save. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind THB Herrenalb's goalkeeper Willi Wolters, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's goal looked a bit too open when Curt Nickel came free, but Waut Van Der Meeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waut Van Der Meeren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moritz Riemer in the 13th minute of the match. Nicu Vornicu might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Willi Wolters. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicu Vornicu ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, THB Herrenalb's goalkeeper Willi Wolters had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicu Vornicu. In the 24thth minute of the game Nicu Vornicu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but THB Herrenalb's Willi Wolters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reiner Fallas's late challenge caught a THB Herrenalb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reiner Fallas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Anversa Club's Reiner Fallas got a free kick in the 26th minute. Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludwig Müntefering in the 27th minute of play. Willi Wolters made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reiner Fallas in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's Reiner Fallas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willi Wolters narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ignatius Tilmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waut Van Der Meeren having to interfere. If Reiner Fallas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reiner Fallas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nicu Vornicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Anversa Club getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Joe Van Landschoot hit a great ball. Waut Van Der Meeren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Högger in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Nicu Vornicu made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludwig Müntefering got free with Waut Van Der Meeren in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. THB Herrenalb made a substitution. Lutz Holtzmann replaced Moritz Riemer. 58 minutes in the game Jürgen Gillen did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Sandro Högger. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignatius Tilmann got free with Waut Van Der Meeren in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Waut Van Der Meeren came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by THB Herrenalb's Ludwig Müntefering. But to his dismay, Ludwig Müntefering quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in THB Herrenalb's zone, Nicu Vornicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willi Wolters came out of the goal and Nicu Vornicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jesús De la Torre struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Willi Wolters didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anversa Club. THB Herrenalb made a substitution. Arne Stern replaced Ignatius Tilmann. The audience was convinced that Nicu Vornicu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willi Wolters was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's Nicu Vornicu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willi Wolters narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Nicu Vornicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Lutz Holtzmann made a precise shot to the right of Waut Van Der Meeren. Anversa Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nestor Cruz during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Sandro Högger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, Lutz Holtzmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Waut Van Der Meeren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. THB Herrenalb played a much better game than Anversa Club and deserved their victory. The Anversa Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
