The supporters of Anversa Club booed when THB Herrenalb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Curt Nickel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's Winarto Songgonau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willi Wolters narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Moritz Riemer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's goal looked a bit too open when Moritz Riemer came free, but Waut Van Der Meeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willi Wolters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Vornicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moritz Riemer was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Reiner Fallas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anversa Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orvar Malmberg in the 54th minute of play forced THB Herrenalb's goalkeeper Willi Wolters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willi Wolters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Vornicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 69 minutes into the match, THB Herrenalb's Sandro Högger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waut Van Der Meeren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Willi Wolters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Van Landschoot, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Curt Nickel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waut Van Der Meeren. Anversa Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Curt Nickel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 86 minutes into the match, THB Herrenalb's Lutz Holtzmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waut Van Der Meeren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lutz Holtzmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waut Van Der Meeren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. THB Herrenalb's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sandro Högger in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Oliver Numberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
