After 7 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Rick Souness. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luca Espinar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Kerville having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steven Chaptal during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Honduras booed when Elderslie Magpies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Chaptal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Kerville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Luca Espinar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esteban Carvallo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After taking down the ball on Elderslie Magpies's corner Rick Souness fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. In the 40th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elderslie Magpies:s Christian Kerville showed great skill when he stopped Edmundo Espiga:s penalty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Elderslie Magpies booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Espinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Kerville prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sam Mccartan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Steven Chaptal succeeded in the game's 58th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Neal Weatherby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentín Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Honduras booed when Elderslie Magpies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryszard Cipa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neal Weatherby, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 95th minute of the match.
