Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Neal Weatherby started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Christian Kerville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Steven Chaptal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 1-0. After 12 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Ryszard Cipa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 13th minute of play forced Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Christian Kerville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryszard Cipa kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Eliseo Noboa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Kerville read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Ovidio Etxekopar scored 2-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neal Weatherby in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Elderslie Magpies's Neal Weatherby in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Steven Chaptal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neal Weatherby received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Neal Weatherby slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 47th minute.

Steven Chaptal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Neal Weatherby in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neal Weatherby in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. After 58 minutes of play, Elderslie Magpies's Neal Weatherby made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Kerville breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rick Souness sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 76th minute. The audience was convinced that Steven Chaptal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. 86 minutes into the game, Elderslie Magpies's Steven Chaptal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Juan Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Steven Chaptal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Steven Chaptal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Rick Souness got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, one of Costa Rica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Costa Rica:s Benito Sanz showed great skill when he stopped Neal Weatherby:s penalty. 96 minutes into the game, Neal Weatherby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Elderslie Magpies players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
