Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Tomas Viviano made a huge save. After some careless play in the Defensores del Tiki Tiki defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Viviano. The Defensores del Tiki Tiki fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Viviano should have stopped the shot. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 94th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Defensores del Tiki Tiki throughout the match.
