Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jonathan Alphonse made the kick off which started today's match. After 2 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Ernso Constant. 6 minutes into the game, Deportivo Lirayén's Mikel Azagra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noel Seide made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ernso Constant's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Candido Gallegos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Noel Seide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreo Ralph in the 13th minute of the match. With a little luck, Haiti's Noel Seide got control of the ball when Mikel Azagra tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Lirayén's Remigio Bishara got a free kick in the 16th minute. Jonathan Alphonse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Candido Gallegos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mikel Azagra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Noel Seide made a huge save. In the 23rd match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Marie Alcius to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Juan Jesus Arbildo in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Haiti's Raymond Louis. If Raymond Louis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mikel Azagra made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 31stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Noel Seide would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 33rd minute, Raymond Louis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Haiti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Alphonse in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candido Gallegos saved Deportivo Lirayén from getting behind. Jonathan Alphonse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Gallegos having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Saint Jean Pierre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haiti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Lirayén the free kick. In the 45th match minute, Haiti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saint Jean Pierre to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Nisen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikel Azagra in the 52nd minute of play forced Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Alphonse kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Juan Jesus Arbildo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Haiti's Rodney Emmanuel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikel Azagra in the 59th minute of play. Candido Gallegos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Alphonse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes, Jonathan Alphonse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haiti and the Deportivo Lirayén players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Deportivo Lirayén booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Alphonse didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Alphonse got free with Candido Gallegos in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ernso Constant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Candido Gallegos having to make a save. In the 71stth minute of the game Mikel Azagra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haiti's Noel Seide was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Lirayén's zone, Jonathan Alphonse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Candido Gallegos came out of the goal and Jonathan Alphonse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardo Nisen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Noel Seide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gesner Philippe fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haiti's protests and gave Gesner Philippe a yellow card for diving instead. Mikel Azagra took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Noel Seide. Noel Seide dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Remigio Bishara hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Ernso Constant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Deportivo Lirayén's goalkeeper Candido Gallegos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gesner Philippe. Haiti's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
