Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Berganza took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Vitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Marcos Cotilla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Felipe Ros kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great ball. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Guido Luzaide tried to sneak it across the goal line. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the game, Nicolas Roland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th play minute Guido Luzaide came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcos Cotilla. 3-0. In the 28th minute of the match Panama got a corner. Vélez Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Naike in the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Nicolas Roland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Nicolas Roland sent off a good shot on target. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Roland in the 39th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Luzaide got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Miralles hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guido Luzaide in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Naike to make the kick off. Cristian Naike scored 4-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicolas Roland took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Miralles during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vélez Juniors booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Miralles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 minutes, Nicolas Roland made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 65 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Alguacil. Vélez Juniors made a substitution. Severo Maule replaced Alberto Joey. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Guido Luzaide kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Luzaide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Tiburcio Quinteros made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. After 79 played minutes Vélez Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Napier. 83 minutes into the game, Vélez Juniors's Cristian Naike nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. In the 86th minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Quinteros came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Roland in the 91st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Cristian Naike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Vélez Juniors's Tiburcio Quinteros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Vélez Juniors were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Panama for a fine match.
