After having played for 12 minutes, Samuel Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Futbol Club RRFV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angelo Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Velasco. Futbol Club RRFV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Samuel Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Luís Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when 洪延广 sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the game, 洪延广 lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Dante Lacasa. After having played for 36 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Velasco having to interfere. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Vimaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuel Souza to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Alberto Tafalla hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Vimaro in the 58th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Souza's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 67th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macos Graciani to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the game, Fausto Vimaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Futbol Club RRFV's Angelo Velasco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Futbol Club RRFV from getting a goal against them. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Angelo Velasco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Futbol Club RRFV getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Zé Carlos de Brito hit a great ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Futbol Club RRFV were victorious despite being under pressure from Mexico for much of the match.
