The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Alfie Downing tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute of play forced Real Chelsea's goalkeeper Comunardo Prandini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. A hard shot 18 in the game by Alfie Downing from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. When Timothy Thorne came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Real Chelsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timothy Thorne couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, Real Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Comunardo Prandini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. Tomas Illescas made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that Real Chelsea's Comunardo Prandini managed to reach the ball for a save. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Weir in the 33rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Alfie Downing sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute of the match Real Chelsea got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stu Bullock ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Timothy Thorne got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alfie Downings short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timothy Thorne got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uno Klemensson during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 played minutes Real Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Uno Klemensson. In the 49th minute of the match Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Comunardo Prandini showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Real Chelsea's goalkeeper Comunardo Prandini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Comunardo Prandini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Timothy Thorne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfie Downing scored 4-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfie Downing in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Gus Weir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Real Chelsea's Xander Hleb was substituted for Uno Klemensson. Real Chelsea's Tyler Tolley was substituted for Gus Weir. Real Chelsea's Patrick Panther was substituted for Tony Domingues. Stu Bullock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 87th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Prandini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfie Downing in the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfie Downing, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Real Chelsea.
