After some careless play in the Nacional defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Aveiro. The Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Aveiro should have stopped the shot. Nacional's José Luis Rodríguez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emmanuel Reyes, made in the 76th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseo Mina got free with Cristiano Aveiro in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
