Mark Devan in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Barrett, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bruno Barrett had great luck who in the 7thth minute grab hold of the ball when Mark Devan from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 10th minute Mark Devan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Troy Kennedy during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Troy Kennedy kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Troy Kennedy hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Oakham's Merlin Tian got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Bryan Hong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bryan Hong got free with Bruno Barrett in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Devan in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Devan in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the game, Oakham's Mark Devan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 31st minute, Mark Devan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oakham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 35th match minute, Oakham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Dhanabalan to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 36 minutes, Stanley Wallace managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curacao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanley Wallace was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Merlin Tian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rocco Owen came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Curacao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rocco Owen couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute of the match, Mark Devan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Barrett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mark Devan made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Devan in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. The supporters of Curacao booed when Oakham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Phua didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Oakham's Merlin Tian got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Faizal Ramachandran put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Barrett. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Devan in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Barrett saved Curacao from getting behind. Bryan Hong might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Barrett. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bryan Hong ran back to his position shaking his head. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Devan in the 79th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Devan in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Barrett saved Curacao from getting behind. After 84 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Troy Kennedy. Kyle Davies received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rifqi Choo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Dhanabalan charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Dhanabalan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alex Dhanabalan hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Hong in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Oakham's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Davies came free, but Rifqi Choo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Devan in the 97th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Oakham players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
