Jose Carita hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Jason Ghost managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Expreso del oeste's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jason Ghost was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Hernan Fernanco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Berganza's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Hernan Fernanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 28 in the game by Jason Ghost from a close distance when the talented Marcos Cotilla managed to make a qualified save. Panama's players were relieved. In the 31st minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Honorio Mikeldi tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honorio Mikeldi. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Lartaun in the 35th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Fernanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Gaby Diares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of Expreso del oeste booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Miralles might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hernan Fernanco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Miralles ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute Honorio Mikeldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Sein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Barrios hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Jason Ghost got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 minutes of play, Expreso del oeste's Jason Ghost made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Mikeldi in the 81st minute of play. Expreso del oeste's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jason Ghost in the 84th minute. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Ghost in the 87th minute of play. Abraham Alguacil came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hernan Fernanco could save by the left post. 93 minutes into the match, Constantino Lartaun notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Expreso del oeste fully deserved thier win.
