Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Ryan Gray's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Anacleto Gaizkine sent off a good shot on target. After 31 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. After having played for 97 minutes, Mehmet Akif Yersel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The dogs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Akif Yersel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The dogs's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
