Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boukjan Bunt in the 37th minute of play. Erasmo Diegotxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 42 minutes, Monty Rogers made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho's Erasmo Diegotxe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Erasmo Diegotxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 45th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo Diegotxe was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

USA played a much better game than Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho and deserved their victory. The Potomci Dwayna Dibleyho players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
