Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Edmundo Espiga made the kick off and thus started the match. Claudio-Paul Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio-Paul Taffarel. Claudio-Paul Taffarel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 13th minute, Sebastian Villa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudio-Paul Taffarel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 18th minute Falcão Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio-Paul Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio-Paul Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter de Melão's Claudio-Paul Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 42 minutes in the game Klaus Meine did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Tobias Zachrisson. Claudio-Paul Taffarel came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Edmundo Espiga. But to his dismay, Edmundo Espiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delfim Paraense to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Ernesto Farias made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! Falcão Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Tobias Zachrisson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Inter de Melão's Claudio-Paul Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 79th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga lined in a short shot 4-4 behind a frustrated Claudio-Paul Taffarel. Fabinho Valladares hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Sebastian Villa struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Claudio-Paul Taffarel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Inter de Melão's Claudio-Paul Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 93rd minute of play. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
