Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro López, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Neron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 12th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro López, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Milito. After 21 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. After 23 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Dayam. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Neron having to interfere. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Balvanera's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Marciano Koldobika managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Balvanera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Koldobika was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. One of Deportivo Balvanera:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. Deportivo Balvanera:s Abel Neron showed great skill when he stopped Tomas Illescas:s penalty. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Diego Milito tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Milito to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Diego Milito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Balvanera's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Milito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Milito in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Diego Milito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Neron having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Milito in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Abel Neron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Balvanera's Severiano Taurino got a free kick in the 93rd minute. With 95 minutes on the clock, Jonathan Venegas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Deportivo Balvanera's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
