An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Stair in the 24th minute of play forced De hijgende Hertjes's goalkeeper Floris Hoving to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Romon Oliver was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jamaica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De hijgende Hertjes the free kick. The supporters of De hijgende Hertjes booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romon Oliver didn't get a good kick on the ball.
