In the 7th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Sergio Mustafa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marco Day. Sergio Mustafa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of C.U.E. DE COMERCIO booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Bradley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Mustafa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes of play, USA's Cassius Byrne made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredinho Gerber was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredinho Gerber was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Cassius Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Gerber having to interfere. After a rather tough play, USA's Diego Bradley got a free kick in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the game, C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's Sergio Mustafa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Alfredinho Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The wind increased when Cassius Byrne made the kick off in the second half. Cassius Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Gerber having to interfere. Salvador Romano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Romano in the 60th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 63rd minute of play forced C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's goalkeeper Alfredinho Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to C.U.E. DE COMERCIO getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Francisco Taveira hit a great ball. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. USA's Sam Campbell was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 82nd minute of the game Diego Bradley made a throw-in which Jenson Smith played forward. 87 minutes into the game, Sam Campbell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Alfredinho Gerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salvador Romano in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredinho Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khalid Parry in the 92nd minute of the match. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jenson Smith in the 93rd minute. The C.U.E. DE COMERCIO fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
