A very nice done corner allowed Tao Ying Jun to score against Julio Vera in Ecuador's goal. 1-0 after 35 minutes. Qu Yi scored 2-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Jan Kisielka tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Sebastián Saja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, A.C ALDO BONZI's Qu Yi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 70 minutes, Jan Kisielka made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Zaccardi in the 76th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Kisielka in the 87th minute of the match.
