Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radomil Mietus's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Radomil Mietus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 5 played minutes Radomil Mietus rounded Paraguay's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomil Mietus in the 9th minute of the match. Arnold Ponk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radomil Mietus in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Radomil Mietus took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jacobo Nores to make any attempt to save it. 23 minutes into the match, Radomil Mietus notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The throw-in from Sebastian Verón in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraguay's Xavier Zoido. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Pastor Firman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. In the 33rd minute of the match, Sebastian Verón tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jacobo Nores saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After taking down the ball on Club Sportivo Quilmes's corner Sebastian Verón fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jacobo Nores quite easily take care of the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Edmílson Martins heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radomil Mietus in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the game, Radomil Mietus lined in a short shot 6-0 behind a frustrated Jacobo Nores. Radomil Mietus might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Radomil Mietus ran back to his position shaking his head. Iker Tafalla was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Radomil Mietus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radomil Mietus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Pastor Firman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 54th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Arnold Ponk in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias. Radomil Mietus might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Radomil Mietus ran back to his position shaking his head. The Club Sportivo Quilmes fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Club Sportivo Quilmes's Radomil Mietus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 62nd minute, Edmílson Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paraguay's attentive Raul Venegas managed to snatch the ball when Silverio Chuan made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. When Ignacio Telo came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Club Sportivo Quilmes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Telo couldn't finish the play. Club Sportivo Quilmes made a substitution. Emanuel Ladio replaced Silverio Chuan. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Oihan in the 71st minute of play. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Oihan's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Sportivo Quilmes's David Oihan. But to his dismay, David Oihan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. After 78 minutes, David Oihan made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Club Sportivo Quilmes fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Club Sportivo Quilmes's David Oihan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 12-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 89 minutes into the game, Club Sportivo Quilmes's Waldemar Przybylo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobo Nores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. In the 91st minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Oihan in the 93rd minute of the match. Club Sportivo Quilmes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
