An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Sandell in the 17th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Sandell in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Andreas Sandell notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Mansfield Town FC's Tor Olofsson. But to his dismay, Tor Olofsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Andreas Sandell struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mansfield Town FC. The audience was convinced that Andreas Sandell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After 33 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maximilian Seger who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Max Lindqvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso did a great save. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, Mansfield Town FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Wennerquist to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Sandell in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Mansfield Town FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Hampus Gallberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. Mansfield Town FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Sandell in the 46th minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Sandell, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andreas Sandell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andreas Sandell in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Tor Olofsson scored 3-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Sandell in the 59th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Andreas Sandell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Mansfield Town FC's Michael Gudmundsson was substituted for Tor Olofsson. Mansfield Town FC made a substitution. Frans Blixt replaced Andreas Sandell. Christopher Forsman made in the 77th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tobias Bern however managed to control. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frans Blixt in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Frans Blixt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frans Blixt took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frans Blixt's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Frans Blixt took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1.
