Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Surahammar's Toninho Lara started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Monty Rogers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Lindström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Lara came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radamel Oakley. Vincent Benett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Toninho Lara in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. After 38 played minutes Surahammar got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Lara. In the 39th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Monty Rogers notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Surahammar's Jan Lindström. Jan Lindström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Benett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Lindström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. Jan Lindström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Radamel Oakley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radamel Oakley in the 64th minute of play. Monty Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jan Lindström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Surahammar made a substitution. Victor Santxol replaced Toninho Lara. Radamel Oakley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Surahammar's Jan Lindström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Surahammar from getting a goal against them. 81 minutes into the match, Victor Santxol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Santxol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. Vincent Benett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Radamel Oakley came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Khalid Parry got free with Jan Lindström in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Surahammar's Casemiro Joinvilense got a free kick in the 94th minute.
