If Dan Van Caels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Van Caels in the 30th minute of play forced E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goalkeeper Lucas Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ordono Balda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tiago Clavell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The corner led E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Tiago Clavell to fire away a dangerous shot which Karl-Erik Hellström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The throw-in from Rodolfo Alves in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Mieszko Zajonc. JUVENTUS BIANCONERI FC's Karl-Erik Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Danekjær in the 93rd minute of play. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Alessandro Del Piero made the kick off and play began. Dan Van Caels took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Duarte. Lucas Duarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
