Lino Rios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Lino Rios ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 27th minute, AFC FUSION's Lino Rios dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Lino Rios received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Lino Rios slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 31st minute. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th match minute, AFC FUSION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Abilio to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Rios was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Rios in the 53rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Roberto Eztebe in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Lino Rios left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC FUSION fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. AFC FUSION made a substitution. Aureliano Karlo replaced Lino Rios. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aureliano Karlo went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute, Aureliano Karlo made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-3. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's Aureliano Karlo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led to AFC FUSION's Christoff Stocks getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, AFC FUSION could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
